Today I went to a ‘seasonal gathering’ workshop in celebration of autumn and the festival of Samhain (Halloween). It was so lovely to experience a gathering of women in a small group, and to discuss living in alignment with the seasons, and what this time of year is all about. We talked about the different festivals… Read More Seasonal gathering, women together
I read an article in The Guardian this weekend that said the number of young women with mental health issues in England has risen quite dramatically over the last few years. This includes PTSD, stress, anxiety and self-harm (read the article here). And it made me really sad to think that so many people –… Read More Monday Sunshine
Women amaze me. I have had the privilege of growing up in a family of strong women, being friends with amazing women, and working alongside a group of powerful women. And now, thanks to the online communities formed through blogging and social media, I am inspired by women around the globe all the time too. As… Read More Sisterhood

As a race, we have already achieved incredible things. Not even the sky is our limit. Imagine what we could do if the majority of people directed their thoughts and intentions towards peace!… Read More Peace starts with me
Something about Glastonbury makes my heart sing. The mystical energies around the Tor, and the unabashed acceptance of all that is magical, weird and wonderful, makes it an incredibly liberating place. Here, the imagination is given free reign and belief in what is normally considered impossible is shared boldly. … Read More Glastonbury Weekend
Last weekend a friend and I decided to pop to London for the day. I have read all about Borough Market and Neal’s Yard, so I wanted to experience them for myself. At heart, I am a ‘wilderness girl’ – not just a ‘country girl’, but a ‘wilderness, I-prefer-trees-over-people girl’ – but every now and then I like a foray into the razzle-dazzle of cities.… Read More A little trip to London town…
Harvest Festivals evoke a sense of community – people came together to collect the fruits, reap the corn, and get the stores ready for winter. They celebrated the abundant gifts together. They got the soil on their hands as they farmed and collected, fingertips stained purple from berry picking, and bodies sheened with sweat as they cut down the wheat. They worked hard for it, and they watched the plants grow into incredible fruits and vegetables. They prayed for rain, and for sun. They saw the growth process, and lived and felt the cycle of nature.… Read More Harvest Gratitude: why the Harvest Festival could save our connection to our planet and each other
