What can I say about this book other than it is AH-MAZING. Few voices have resonated with me so well as Lucy Sheridan and Jo Westwood’s. Perhaps it is because they are young British women who thoroughly understand our generation’s needs, but I really felt like they were speaking to me.
In this fast-paced modern world it can be hard to discover the true you, and your place and purpose in it, but Jo and Lucy offer some great wisdom and insight to help you navigate modern life and avoid the pitfalls.
“Wake up your life. Free your soul. Find your tribe.” – this is their tag line, and Jo and Lucy really do deliver. I found #HigherSelfie immensely helpful and massively inspiring. It was fun to read even though it was covering serious topics such as forgiveness, surrender and fear.
Jo and Lucy offer lots of personal stories throughout which really helps you to relate to the points they are making. They know what they are talking about, and I fully admire their courage, tenacity and vision to get the #HigherSelfie movement started and rolling.
They, in turn, have been inspired by people such as Gabrielle Bernstein and A Course in Miracles, but Jo and Lucy have really embraced their individuality and their offerings are fresh and innovative.
As Jo and Lucy say, it is time to wake up. Hear the calling of your higher, true self and step up. In this technological age of social media, “comparisonitis” and mental overload it is time to reconnect with YOU. The authentic you. #HigherSelfie is a great book to help and guide you.
“There’s a cosmic alarm clock going off around the world. More people are waking up more quickly and earlier in life and feeling hungry for inspiration, guidance and community in order to live a bigger, richer, more aligned existence.”
The big lessons that I learned from this book were the profound strength to be found in surrendering, and how you don’t have to be a best-selling spiritual guru in order to be fully connected to the Universe, light-filled and worthy. We all have something to offer, something uniquely ours that the world needs. This gave me a lot more confidence to face my doubts and share my love and offerings with the world.
I can’t recommend this book enough to everyone, but particularly to the “Gen Y spiritual seekers”.
